Terms of Use & Official Prize Rules

These terms are an agreement between you and Kutlu Altun ("we"), an individual developer based in İstanbul, Türkiye, and the publisher of the Walk&Own game. By using Walk&Own you agree to them.

1. Playing safely

Walk&Own is played outdoors. Always pay attention to traffic and your surroundings, follow local laws, do not enter private property or unsafe places, and never play while driving or cycling. You play at your own risk.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old. Keep one account per person; multiple accounts, account sharing or selling accounts are not allowed.

3. Fair play

Only real walking counts. Using vehicles, GPS spoofing apps, emulators, modified apps, automation or any other method to fake movement or steps is prohibited. We may remove zones, items and rankings gained unfairly and suspend or close accounts.

4. Names and content

Nicknames, team names and street sign names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading or infringe others' rights. We may change or remove such names and suspend repeat offenders.

5. Virtual items and coins

Coins, decorations, badges and zones are a limited licence to use inside the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred outside the game. Zones are virtual and give no rights to any real place.

6. Purchases and Walk&Own Plus

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Walk&Own Plus renews automatically until cancelled in your store account settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Purchases never improve your chances of winning a prize or your ranking.

7. Official prize rules

No purchase necessary. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not involved in, these prizes.

• Sponsor: Kutlu Altun, İstanbul, Türkiye
• Where: Monthly cash-value prizes run separately in each country once that country has more than 5,000 monthly active players. The in-app counter shows the status for your country. Prizes are void where prohibited.
• Who: Players aged 18 or older with a verified email address. Our employees and their families are not eligible.
• How rankings work: Points come only from gameplay: claiming zones, defending zones and winning back lost zones. Ties are decided by who reached the score first.
• Monthly prizes per eligible country:

• One cash prize per person per month. If you win more than one category you receive the highest one and the other passes to the next eligible player.
• Verification: Winners are reviewed for fair play for 7 days after the month ends. Accounts found cheating are disqualified and the prize passes to the next eligible player.
• Delivery: Prizes are sent by email through our partner Tremendous; the winner chooses a gift card or prepaid card available in their country. If a prize is not claimed within 30 days or the winner cannot be contacted, it may be forfeited.
• Taxes: Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize.
• Team rankings award only in-game trophies, flags and badges, not cash-value prizes.
• We may change or end the prize programme for future months by updating this page.

8. Changes and availability

The game, its rules and features may change. We may suspend the service for maintenance. We will post important changes in the app.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect losses or for injuries or damage arising from your activities while playing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
